Meet Gem - the snuggly Kelpie waiting to steal your heart.

Gem is a 3 year old, Kelpie blend. She is sweet, loving and loyal. Gem is an active breed, so an adequate yard with secure fencing and lots of stimulation and exercise is essential. Sometimes, she can be a little shy but will shimmy up next to you for pats to make sure you know she wants to be your friend.

Gem knows some basic obedience, but would benefit from lots of positive reinforcement and training - paying particular attention to her recall and walking on lead. Gem knows she shouldn't jump and tries very hard not to, most of the time planting her bum close to you, but sometimes she can't help herself.

Being a farming breed, Gem isn't likely suited to homes with cats or small animals. She may get along with some small dogs, but a 'meet and greet' is a must.
