About Ms Willoughby
Please note: Ms Willoughby will be rehomed with another placid dog and she hopes also a cat.
Ms Willoughby, what a funny little girl. Sweet and gentle with a cheeky streak. For example she will look at you and work out if she can do something naughty before you get to her and look you in the face while she does it.
She didn’t have any manners when she arrived at her first stop a month ago. She has learnt now not to jump and will learn more with positive reinforcement. She has learnt to stay – but only if she believes it is worth it to her (that’s her cheeky streak).
She is fabulous with other dogs, both big and small and loves to play. However we have only seen her with friendly dogs.
She got on well with the household felines and is happy to hang out peacefully with the kittens once the initial excitement has worn off. She is good on the lead but will pull to try to get to other dogs and people.
She has met school aged children. She is still very puppy like in her habit – bouncy and loves to chew and may be closer to one than the two we called her. She would definitely need a walk a day. Her carer has taken her out for more than 5 km jogs and walks and she still has left over energy. Another dog would assist with this.
Ms Willoughby has asked if this time around can she not be left in a back yard on her own but have lots of company and attention. Oh and we are asking for secure fencing – Ms Willoughby doesn’t mind (we do) as she loves to adventure and run free.
PS She just loves to be touched all over, even her paw pads and between her toes. She will roll over to let you know she wants her belly rubbed. Such a tactile girl.
Please note: our dogs are not available for interstate adoption. We also do not adopt to people under the age of 25 years.

Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer a six-week full refund, free assistance for six weeks for any issues, and a lifetime takeback policy with a fifty percent refund of the adoption fee, and of course an invitation to our adopters’ Christmas party.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you to as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.
