About Eddie ~ Shih Tzu x Terrier (on trial 21/1/18)
Eddie is a 4 year old Shih Tzu X Terrier weighing 4.3kg and is looking for his forever home. This boy has the sweetest personality whose main focus is pleasing those around him! Eddie has an engaging personality and often makes everyone laugh around him. Eddie loves nothing more than cuddling up on your lap or a walk around the block.
Eddie currently resides with three other doggy friends who range in size from 3kg to 34kg both male and female. Eddie plays in an appropriate manner and knows his boundaries. Eddie does not dig, has not shown behaviour to indicate that he is an escape artist and is not destructive.
When meeting new people Eddie is polite, however can be reserved until he sees his owners interact with the new person. Once familiar, Eddie greets people with a waggy tail and a happy face.
He thrives on company both human and doggy. He has not met any cats however being as most cats are bigger than him we do not believe he will have any issues.
Eddie is in great general health. His teeth are in excellent condition and he is relaxed when being groomed. Eddie is toilet trained, learning how to sit and stay and is learning to not pull on the lead. He is food orientated so training Eddie has been a breeze. Currently Eddie sleeps inside and this would be ideal in his new home. Eddie travels well in the car - he just sits back and relaxes!
Eddie’s ideal home: family to love, be allowed to spend time indoors with his new family, a doggy friend or a family that is home the majority of the time. Eddie is excellent with children and has been a pleasure to foster. Any family or person who adopts Eddie will be extremely fortunate as he is handsome, smart and eager to please.
For more information or to meet Eddie please contact his foster carer Sandra on email Sandra.FosterDogs2018@gmail.com. Eddie is in foster care on the Central Coast, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Eddie’s adoption fee is $500 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
