Hi! I’m Sheldon and I'm looking for a very special forever home. I'm a handsome, scruffy boy and at 11kg, I am a small to medium sized dog.

I seem to have previously lived quite a sheltered life, as everyday things can be a little overwhelming for me at first. I'm already coming along in leaps and bounds with my foster carer, they have been helping me to come out of my shell and experience more of the outdoors.

I used to spend all of my time inside, but now I like going out to run around the backyard, chasing birds and sniffing all of the plants and flowers. I still love being indoors with you when you're home, sitting with you on the couch, or by your feet while you work.

I have also started to get fit and healthy by going for walks to the shops and the parks, but I’m still wary of other dogs since they can excite me and all of the smells I encounter on the way. I'm learning to be more patient on my walks so that I don’t tie us up in my lead, but I’m just so excited to be out and about. I'm also working on my basic commands and would love to keep up the practice with you.

Understandably, I don't much like feeling left behind. I'd love to find a family who are home often and can work on this with me. I am good with adults and teens, and while I haven't met any younger humans while in care, my former owner had said I was children friendly too. I haven't been tested with cats. My ideal home is a nice quiet one where I can be your only dog.
