About Roxy ~ 11 month old Mastiff x
Roxy is a sweet 11 month old Mastiff x girl. She is a beautiful and affectionate puppy who has lovely golden brown eyes that match her golden brown coat.
Roxy adores playing games with adults and children or smooching up for a neck and belly scratch. Roxy is familiar with families with young children. She has lived with children aged 1, 9 and 11 years and is very good with them. She enjoys a game of tug-o-war with the older children. She would love a home with someone, whether it be a single person, a couple or family who will spend time walking and playing with her each day as well as taking her on outings.
Roxy is very obedient and just wants to please everyone. She is an eager learner and will sit with on verbal command, with and without treats. She will also sit before getting her dinner or a tasty bone. Her excitable nature means she sometimes forgets to stay after sitting but she is working really hard to master this skill. Roxy is quick to respond to her name and comes cheerfully. She loves playing with toys. Roxy does have a tendency to have a short bark when strangers are about but because she has quickly learnt how to self soothe, she settles quickly.
Roxy enjoys going out for a walk to explore the world. On her daily walks, Roxy is very comfortable on her lead and happily walks beside the person with her and is learning to sit before crossing the road. She is very intrigued by the little insects she finds along the way.
Roxy is a very social dog and thoroughly enjoys playing at the beach or dog park, making new doggie and human friends wherever she goes. She will be a wonderful family dog and can’t wait to give her new family lots of love and cuddles.
For more information or to meet Roxy, please contact her foster mum by email: Katie.roberts@outlook.com or phone/text: 0447 303 949. Katie is in Lambton NSW (Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Roxy’s adoption fee is $450 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see the adoption process and all of our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
