About Daisy ~ Kelpie X (on trial 21/1/2018))
Come on down Daisy! This beautiful young 6 month old Kelpie X pup is looking for a forever home, and it could be yours! She is a beautiful black and tanned colour, slim and on the smaller side of what is considered a ‘medium sized dog.’
Daisy girl is incredibly smart and calm for a young pup. She has a gorgeous nature and is very easy going. All she wants in life is a big run around in the morning and a snuggle up with her owner at night.
Because of her working breed, Daisy will need a lot of exercise so is looking for a companion who enjoys daily running or a visit to the beach or park. She absolutely loves to play with dog toys and has no problem knowing what is a toy and what is not. She is amazing on lead and handles sitting at a busy cafe while I eat my lunch pretty well.
Daisy is impressively smart and has done very well in the short time she has been with us. She learnt very quickly to become toilet trained through crate training and is happy to either sleep in the crate, or in the house. When in the house, she doesn't make a sound and just snoozes along side you on the floor.
Daisy is not a barker, which is handy in my neighbourhood with barking dogs on all sides! She also gets along well with her foster siblings but is not dependent on them so would suit a home either with or without doggy company so long as she is not alone all day and gets the exercise and attention she needs.
Daisy is a very happy girl who does a quirky bum wiggle when you come home and when you give her affection. She will also lay around wherever you are around the house. Daisy would probably best suited with a young active couple or a family with older children because she tends to jump when you arrive home, but is learning over time not to.
Not much phases her in the way of storms or fireworks and has not been an escape artist, though she will require a fenced yard. She is also not food aggressive.
If you think you could provide a suitable home for this gorgeous pup or have any other questions about Daisy, feel free to send me an enquiry!
For more information or to meet Daisy, please contact her foster carer Teagan on tmlang93@gmail.com. Daisy is in foster care in Charlestown, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
