Lexi (on adoption trial)

Meet LEXI - an 18 month old Border Collie x with a stunning and unique coloured coat that is as soft as her personality. This energetic girl is incredibly friendly. She is a little timid around new people and dogs but comes around very quickly.

Lexi does require someone who will have the time to continue her training. She is very smart and so eager to please. She is very motivated by food or affection and is an absolute pleasure to train. She is learning basic commands - including sit, drop, wait and wait for food - very quickly. She loves snuggling on the couch so we are working on the 'off' command! Lexi's recall is impressive if she trusts you - although you rarely have to call her as if she knows where you are she will be at your side.

She is very athletic and would make a brilliant running companion - she promises to match pace and not judge you if you are slower than she is! She will need someone who can provide the training and exercise she needs - but for that lucky person she will repay your efforts a million times over.

She plays well with other dogs - particularly ones who also love zoomies and play wrestling - loves people, pats and cuddles, is gentle with kids and will relax happily in a crate or the backyard at bedtime or when playtime is over.
