Dottie

Dottie is a sweet affectionate girl who loves company. She's a snuggler who likes to be near you.

Dottie has a funny hoppity skip gait, due to old injuries, but this does not slow her down! She is still a very active dog who likes a daily walk and a race around the back yard with her foster sister, a Labrador. They get on very well; Dottie tries to herd her foster sister occasionally but soon gives up when this doesn't work.

Dottie is great with the 2 inside cats she has met at her foster home! They are used to dogs and it's clear she is used to cats as she largely ignores them after a quick 'hello' sniff.

Dottie is well behaved inside and has toys she likes to toss around the room and pounce on, before settling down on her mat at your feet. Dottie is a good eater but doesnt gobble her food. She will take a treat gently from your hand.

Dottie would be best suited to a home where she can be with her people a lot, and have another friendly dog for company if you're absent. She is still learning not to jump up in excitement, so a home with no little children may be better suited to her.

Working dogs need companionship, stimulation and exercise, so Dottie's forever home need to be aware of this. Dottie is a very smart dog who doesn't seem to have had a lot of training but she is keen to please and is making great progress which should be continued.
