About Skye
The Skye is the limit with this lovely four-year old girl. A beautiful grey with ice-blue eyes, Skye has just joined the Homes for Huskies family and is looking for a furever family to call her own.
Skye is a lovely dog with a caring and friendly nature, is great with small children and even tolerates them messing with her food at mealtimes. She’s has a truly gorgeous personality and loves walks, chasing a ball, doggy play dates and playing with her humans.
Skye loves the outdoors, and even when she’s had the run of the house and a kennel all of her own, she is all about sleeping under the stars and being a typical independent husky. On hot days she’ll spend time inside, and while she loves hanging with her humans, she loves being a bit free-range in the fresh air. But with all that she would love her new home that would allow her inside with her family more.
Skye has been to puppy school and been trained throughout her life, and is a typical husky when off-leash (aka disobedient) so she needs to remain in fenced areas or leashed. She loves her walks and is good on-leash, especially when a pocket of treats are nearby.
Skye is a fond gardener and will help you dig your very own Mariana Trench in the backyard but is happy to stay earth-bound, as hopping fences isn’t her jam.
Fireworks stress her out a bit but a quick bit of comfort from her family and she’s happy again.
Unlike many huskies, she makes a great guard dog, and rather than show intruders where the wallets are kept, she’ll bork the house down. Don’t get us wrong, she’s not interested in visitors or the day-to-day neighbourhood life, but if something’s up, she’ll deliver a showdown.
Skye has enjoyed family life with small children her whole life, but a downsize and lack of time means she is looking for a new home who can give her the love and attention she deserves. This rehome is though no fault of hers.
Skye is desexed and as a Homes for Huskies alumni, will come with full vaccinations and health checks. She would suit a home with or without children, loves interaction and gets along well with other dogs, so we’d certainly consider a home with another dog.
6ft dig proof fencing
No cats or pocket pets
