About Henry ~ Bull Arab X (on trial 8/2/2018)
Henry is an adorable 18 month old male Bull Arab X. In his short life he has already been neglected and left to starve. When he came into care he was emaciated and was very withdrawn emotionally and of course very lethargic.
Henry is now a very happy go lucky lad that loves to be the centre of attention, and just cannot get enough cuddles and kisses from everyone he meets. He loves to romp around in the yard with the bigger dogs here, but it has taken a little time for him to get some fitness and muscle tone back. The lounge and bed were also a challenge to start with, but now he's got it all worked, which means wherever you are, Henry is.
Henry has been allowed to come in and out of the house as he pleases and is now housetrained, so this will need to continue. He also knows a few basic commands such as sit and come, and loves to walk on the leash, although he can be a little weary. He just needs some practice and someone willing to love and reward him for his efforts. Henry needs either a family who will include him in all activities and also have another dog he can play with if your out, or someone that is home 24/7 as he has become quite clingy and once he bonds with you would be a very loyal companion for someone looking for that special bond and relationship. Henry will only go to the best of homes.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
