About Marsanne
Looking for a happy little companion? Meet Marsanne!
This little lady has a gorgeous personality. She is very friendly and just loves to be around her people. It doesn’t matter if there is more than one dog lover in the house either as she will share her attention around everyone. You will usually find Marsanne sitting by your feet or snuggled up next to you on the lounge or bed. She will always greet you with a waggy tail and is more than happy to comply with lap cuddles. If you are off for a trip in the car then she will want to come along for the ride and she travels very well. Overall, this sweet girl just brightens your day with her presence.
Marsanne has always lived with another dog. She can be a bit shy or wary of new dogs but is soon comfortable to be around them. After a couple of weeks of getting to know a new dog you see her playful side come out as she has even been playing with the big dogs in her foster home. Being little (just shy of 5kg), Marsanne is not suited to boisterous dogs that will be rough with her. She is more than happy to join you on a daily walk, and actually really enjoys getting out and about. She is great to walk on and off lead, and even though her recall is not 100% she sticks around her humans. Marsanne will need a regular walk but is otherwise satisfied with hanging around the house with you.
She is a smart girl who can sit and shake/hi five, especially when you have a treat to give her. She is food motivated and willing to please. Her new owners may need to be careful with the food and treats though as she loves her food and could be prone to putting on weight which would not be good for her health or joints. Marsanne is relatively agile still for her age and can jump up onto lounges and beds without an issue; however, some steps up to these higher pieces of furniture would be more appropriate for her as she ages.
We are looking for a home where Marsanne is a part of the family and included in the daily activities. She must have someone who is home most of the time and she would also benefit from another gentle doggy companion, though this is not a requirement. She is an inside dog who is toilet trained and relatively low shedding, though she would benefit from regular grooming. Marsanne likes to be close to you at night, whether that be in the bedroom with you or on the bed, but we all know though that she prefers a spot on the bed! She has lived with and is good with cats and young children though is better suited to those who know how to be gentle with dogs and who are not too loud/boisterous.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
