About Levi
Introducing Levi, a Bull Arab x Retriever mix......This handsome little man has arrived in care at just 6wks, along with his 8 litter mates. Levi is currently being fostered in a home with his sister, Layla, 4 host dogs, a host cat, and of course, his humans (which includes young children). He loves playing with both the smaller and bigger dogs in his foster home and always up for a good rumble. Levi hasn't taken much notice of the cat so far, but is certainly learning to live comfortably with them. He's a super sweet little man who enjoys his cuddles and adores his soft toys. Levi is more laid back, although still keen to play with his furry friends.
Levi sleeps both inside and outside and is learning the routine in his foster home. At this stage, no formal training has been introduced but basic commands will be introduced in the coming weeks. This adorable little man has shown no food aggression or dominance while in foster care.
We are looking for a family or person who is willing to put in the time and effort with training and socialisation with Levi. We would love to see him in a home where he had another doggie companion but if he was to be an only dog, he would need continued socialisation with other dogs during his puppy stage and into adulthood, as well as ongoing training so that he grows up to be a well mannered and socialised young man. We believe that Levi will be a medium to large dog when fully grown.
We would love to help get you started with that, so our amazing supporters, Best Friends - Erina, have kindly offered to include a 5 week Puppy training course with all of our Puppy adoptions (up to 16wks of age)....The Best Friends Puppy Pre-School service is a fun and interactive five-week training course that covers puppy behaviours, diet, health, grooming, exercise and play, with an emphasis on socialisation, command training, health and care. Their aim is to teach you positive ways to train your puppy in basic skills such as ‘sit’, ‘drop’, ‘stay’, and how to walk well on a lead, but also how to control your puppy’s not so desirable behaviours like toileting inside, biting, mouthing and separation anxiety.
Levi will be spending the next 3-4 weeks in care while all his vet work is done and will be available for adoption once this is complete. He will however, be available for meets in the coming weeks. Levi is located in Chittaway Bay, on the Central Coast, NSW.
