On Hold
About The Audacity of “Hope”. Melbourne.
For Hope, audacity isn’t just a fancy word – it’s a way of life! This girl is no shrinking violet, with oodles of personality to keep you entertained. She might not be the most obedient dog, but she’s very affectionate, with lots to say (not much barking, just adorable greyhound grumbles). Hope is bold as brass when she’s showing her appreciation of a cuddle, encouraging her humans to share their food, or sneaking onto the couch. She’s intelligent and will learn boundaries with training, but would also like to find humans who appreciate a girl with a mind of her own.
Hope is excitable and energetic, and always up for a walk. She needs another dog for company, preferably a large, easy-going male who won’t mind letting Hope be top dog. Hope hasn’t spent much time with kids, but has been fine meeting them. Although she’s fine with small dogs, she’s shown some interest in chasing birds, so probably isn’t cat-friendly. Hope is toilet-trained (she’ll hold on till you get home), can climb stairs, and rides happily in the car with her foster carers.
Hope’s bold Roman nose and ridiculous ears are all part of her big-personality charm. Have you got the audacity to give Hope a home?

Adoption details
Dogs are pack animals and Greyhounds, in particular, are very familiar with being surrounded by other dogs in their racing kennel environment. For this reason, when left alone without people or other dogs for company, they can be prone to separation anxiety which can manifest in destructive and/or noisy behaviour. Yes, they may "grow out" of it after a few weeks in their new home, but why put the dog through that stress to ultimately live all day alone, while everyone is at work? As a result we do not rehome dogs into households where they are left on their own for more than 4 hours per day, without either people or another dog for company.
