I’m Ringo, and I’m an adorable, very clever pup with a cute stumpy tail. I've learned to sit and stay very quickly. I am going to be an awesome dog if I have a good leader. I’m looking for an owner who is confident and experienced with big dogs. I want someone who is very consistent with boundaries and routine; someone who enjoys doing obedience training and doing lots of interesting activities with a doggy companion. You see, not only am I smart, I’m also big and muscly for my age. I’m going to do be a strong dog and likely, large in size (though in rescue we can’t know for sure). I have a dominant type personality and already challenge other dogs. So it will be important that my leader makes sure that I know they’re the boss and that I always do what I’m told.

Like all pups, I like to chew and to explore the world around me by feeling things with my mouth. Some dogs don’t grow out of chewing things - and that’s a possibility for me because I do enjoy chewing so much. It’s a bit too early to tell just yet. Right now while I’m chewing so much (and maybe later on if it’s something I don’t grow out of) lots of chew toys to switch around for me, enrichment activities like hiding treats or giving me large frozen ice-blocks of stock or with a chicken frame in the middle, and exercise twice a day will mean I won’t be inclined as much towards chewing things I shouldn’t!!!!

I like playing with the two large dogs that live at my foster home, but I’m a bit noisy when I try to get them to play with me. That could be part of our training - teach me to “speak” on command and then I’ll only bark when you want me to.

A few hours in a plane is absolutely worth it for a remotely located pup like me if it means I have the opportunity to be adopted. My airfare to Perth is $150 thanks to QANTAS, and I can fly elsewhere in Australia too.
