About Bear ~ Red Cattle Dog x Kelpie (on trial 26/1/18)
The beautiful Bear is a two year old Red Cattle Dog cross Kelpie. You'd be surprised how relaxed and calm he is! Bear loves to snuggle and is very affectionate.
Bear is housetrained but can live and sleep inside or outside. He is not a jumper but like all working breeds will need secure fencing.
Bear is great with kids and gets along well with other dogs once familiarised. He likes to play fetch, tug of war and loves the water. Bear has met cats before and didn't mind them but the cats didn't seem to like him.
Bear is suited to someone who works full time so long as he has another dog for company. He would be a perfect addition to a family looking for a real life teddy bear.
For more information or to meet Bear, please contact his foster carer Fin on 0400 910 585 (text preferred) or email fjmcartney@gmail.com. Bear is in foster care in Windale, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Bear’s adoption fee is $450 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
