About Theodore -On Hold
*special case*
theodore came to our shelter under duty of care (-a clause which allows animals to leave a pound before their due date). We were not aware of him until we went to the pound to pick up a mother rabbit and her babies, and saw him huddled in the back of a cage. Theodore had recently been badly mauled, we don't know for sure, but suspect a dog attack. Without vet treatment, he'd been in a lot of pain, with a massive patch of skin missing from his back, and several other bits of skin which had been torn from his body. His ears were a bloody mess, and one has been chewed so much that it is distorted and there has been a lot of cartilage damage so it will never be normal. Theodore is making slow progress but is on the road to recovery. He will not be available for adoption any time soon, however we are more than happy to take any expressions of interest. Theodore is a smart rabbit that is learning fast. Despite being terrified of humans, he is slowly gaining trust in us and will one day make a fantastic pet. He will need a dedicated owner to continue his journey with, and one that doesn't mind a bunny that is slightly different in looks.
