Hi I am called Blackie and I guess you can tell why. I am very beautiful, even though I say it myself, I have gorgeous long fur and it is really soft to stroke.

My carer says that I am a little shy but once I get to know you I can be very affectionate. I do especially like very gentle men – you see my owner was a man who really adored me and so I feel very at home with the man of the house. When you stroke me I will purr lots to let you know that I am happy and one of the really good things about my foster home is that I am allowed to sleep on the end of my carers bed which I really like.

I will let you pick me up for a little while but I much prefer to just be stroked and will sit next to you to be close, but if you are the man of the house I will like sitting on your lap and will let you carry me around in your arms as I am so contented there. I also like to follow my carer around the house and will rub up against you if you stand still for long enough.

There are some kittens being fostered here as well – I must say that they are not my most favourite things to have around but because I am such a gentle soul I tolerate their presence and antics. I do play a bit myself sometimes but only when I am in the mood. Another thing I do really love is catnip – oh the smell of it really sends me so a sprinkle of that on the floor will keep me occupied for quite a while.
