About Obi
**OBI IS CURRENTLY ON A TWO WEEK TRIAL**
Obi is a 1 year old foxie sized package of love looking for a family to call his own. He was surrendered with his brothers for through no fault of his own.
Obi needs to go to a home with another young active and playful dog and to a family that will involve him in their daily activities. As he is still a pup, he needs his new family to keep up the training he has in place with his carers and in return he will provide you with a lifetime of loyalty, love and a constant companionship.
Obi gets along well with humans and other dogs, and we've been told that he was observed to be very well behaved around chickens and cats too. Where his heart truly lies though, is with his people- Obi follows his foster father and tries to assist with anything he's doing, be it gardening, eating or sitting on the lounge watching TV. He is always up for a cuddle, anytime and anywhere.
Obi will need at least one long daily walk, preferably off-leash as he has excellent recall and loves bounding around you exploring the world and of course playing all those silly chasing games with companions he meets at the beach. He travels well in the car but needs to be restrained as he thinks he'd travel best in your lap! Obi has only been left alone with his foster brothers for a few hours at a time and had no issues with this, waiting at the door to greet you with a wagging tail and a big smile.
He is able to sit on command, he has been working on his toilet training and he has only barked once since coming into care a week ago. He is very treat motivated so training is a breeze.
Obi would be best suited to a family without younger children (older children ok) because he does sometimes tend to jump up, which he's doing less and less everyday. As with all our dogs, Obi will be an inside dog with access to outside.
