Horse

My name is Horse, yeh so enough of the horse jokes already ok! I’m almost all Great Dane with a tiny bit of Mastiff thrown in for good luck. Luck hasn’t been my friend though and due to no fault of my own I find myself looking for a forever home. I’ve been passed through homes that have not been able to work with me or realise the commitment it takes to own a giant dog.

I’ve not had a chance to socialise with other dogs so for now I will definitely need to remain an only dog. I absolutely need a home who has the time and energy to help me learn to walk nicely on lead. Despite very little training in my almost 4 years I do have some basics, I'm super loving and easy to be around.

I’ve been living with kids for the last two years and we get along really well. What I haven’t done is walk out and about on lead. I’ve done a couple of test runs on lead recently and I LOVE it! I’m not great at it yet and admit I can get way over excited. I really need a human who knows how to teach me to settle down and walk calmly. I saw a cat the other day, WOO HOO, I was after it! Well until I was advised that's a no no, gosh there’s so much to learn out in the big wide world. I’ve been told I won’t be living with cats. That's ok, I love playing with my toys.

I’ve lived mostly outside but would prefer to be inside with my family much more of the time. I’m a good boy and will sit on my bed and I’m house trained. I might look like a big tough guy but I’m actually more of a softie, cuddle bunny even. I absolutely need to be inside should there be a thunder storm. They scare the heck out of me!

I really hope 2018 is my year. I have a huge heart that I want to share with my new family.
