About Delilah
Delilah is such a relaxed, calm and gentle girl. She isn't fazed by much and just enjoys watching the world go by- whilst demanding love of course! Delilah LOVES pats, smooches , scratches and rubbing against your legs. She is a chatter and is always purring!
We believe Delilah came from a farm property but the first we heard of her was in the pound. She was described as "super sweet but in poor condition". Not only that but she had 6 kittens. Whilst we worked to secure her a foster carer the pound gave her 4 more kittens to care for... then another 2... yes she has 12 kittens relying on her by the time we were able to rescue her!!! This poor girl was struggling to keep up and losing weight. We started supplement feeding the kittens as soon as they arrived and they were so hungry. Delilah was also fed unlimited amounts of high quality food. Sadly due to their malnourishment and poor immune systems we lost 5 babies along the way. And poor Delilah was as light as a feather at only 2.8kg...
The remaining 7 kittens are thriving and have been weaned to give Delilah a chance to look after herself and for us to focus on her.
She is just such a fantastic girl. Her gentle nature and the way she looks at you with her beautiful green eyes just melts your heart. She is so trusting and just lets your do whatever you need to.
She would likely get along with other pets after a slow introduction.
Sadly Delilah was adopted and returned a few months later as her adopter did not feel she was the right cat for them.
