About Moose ... cat friendly
Moose is a Mastiff x who has a gentle heart but needs a family who are willing to take the time to show him how great the world can be. He’s on the smaller side of being a Mastiff but is still a large dog.
His history is unknown but this sweet guy is very affectionate and has a super soft velvety coat. With a little love and patience he will learn how to be a dog in the real world. Right now though, he is a little nervous of things but eager to explore and loves having a good sniff on his short walks!
He is cat friendly and gets on well with other desexed dogs. He is learning to play fetch and is happy to be outside during working hours.
He loves to eat but hasn’t had a lot of good nutrition prior to being with a foster family, so you’ll need to be able to provide this guy with a hearty amount of food to get his weight to a normal level.
He is very smoochy and would love to be your cuddle buddy on the couch.
Being a hungry fella he is very food motivated so is quick to learn and will sit/stay when his food bowl is in front of him. Great self control for a dog that loves food! He is eager to please and picks up new concepts quickly if there is a good reward. He has however been a little protective over his food and toys when around other dogs so a home as an only dog would suit him best, or with a owner who is experienced and understands how to manage a dog who will resource guard when around other dogs.
Moose will make a great lifelong companion for a family who love gentle giants!
