About Lettie ~ Blue Cattle Dog (on trial 30/12/2017)
Meet Lettie! She is a 4 year old Blue Cattle Dog. Lettie is a lovely dog who loves your attention and just wants to be around you.
Lettie is great with kids and loves to play, especially if there is water involved. She gets really excited when the hose is turned on, trying to bite the nozzle. She doesn’t mind a cuddle but would rather play fetch. If you are in the backyard, she will follow you everywhere and lay down next to you if you are relaxing.
Lettie isn't much of a barker but she will bark when her foster carers get visitors or when she sees other dogs. She can sit, shake, back-up and stay on command. Lettie loves walks and trips to the beach.
Lettie would prefer to be an only dog. She hasn't met a cat before and would be best if there were no cats in her new home.
Lettie can be protective of her owners with new people coming to the house, but after she meets them she is fine. She will also need a well fenced yard (6 foot or higher) as she can jump very high and is scared of storms.
Lettie is an active dog and would love it if she could go for long walks. She is good on the lead and pulls only a little. Lettie has been an outside dog before and will not enter the house even if the door is open.
If you are looking for a great and loving companion, Lettie is the dog for you.
For more information or to meet Lettie, please contact her foster carer Craig on 0401031830 or Craggle_pop@hotmail.com. Lettie is in foster care in Medowie, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Lettie’s adoption fee is $450 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
