About Nahla
Nahla is such a complex little personality. I’ve really enjoyed getting to know her and I think you will too.
Although she is probably crossed with a poodle, she exhibits many terrier traits. Nahla loves to play fetch, tug of war and chasey games and does so with growly gusto. She has quite an active side to her and can walk for miles.
On the other hand, she can be incredibly sweet and loves to sit on your lap and give you tender, slow licks of appreciation. If you are sad, she will gently lick your tears away then snuggle close beside you.
Nahla has quite an exotic appearance and has been described as having ‘antique rose-gold highlights’ due to her dusty pink colours which touch everything from her gums to her eyes to her nose. She does not shed and has a naturally long coat, which, I’ve been told, grows to reveal more and more pink prompting others to label her, far less delicately, as ‘the secret ranga of the dog world’.
Nahla has come a long way in the two and a half weeks that I’ve had her. She is the type of dog who needs a strong leader; a leader who will not shy away from her challenges. With the implementation of rules, boundaries and direction she will stay the gorgeous pet she is right now: A dog who is growing in confidence day by day with strangers and dogs. She will require an experienced owner who will continue her training.
She would do well as an only dog or with an easy going, playful male companion. However, she does not tolerate the unpredictability of children and must not be allowed to mix with them.
Ideally she will go to a dog focussed home where people have time to dedicate to her and are at home a good portion of the time.
I will be sad to see her go but so happy to watch her enhance someone’s life. She has so much potential to be a very caring forever companion to the right person.
Medical notes
Very healthy.
