About Twix
Sweet loving friendly girl Twix is looking for her forever home. Twix came into foster care as she was being neglected and was very very skinny and has a scar around her neck from what appears to be a chain left on to tight.
When you meet Twix you'd never know she has been treated badly as she just LOVES humans and wants to be around them all the time. She will follow you around and when you stop she'll quietly sit next to you and cuddle up for a tummy rub. She uses her paws to gently remind you she is there and you have stopped patting her which is very sweet and has become her trademark character. She is low energy, listens well and always does as she is told.
Twix gets along with everyone, she can be a little protective over her food bowl when other dogs are nearby, although she has never gone out of her way to be aggressive, but a dog who has been starved has had reason to feel the need to protect her meal. She has never growled or shown aggression to her foster family over food and is currently fed separately from the other dogs.
Twix is crate trained, toilet trained and walks well on a lead. She will jump low fences to find her people if left alone, so secure fencing (colourbond type is best as they can't grip and climb) or a dog run will be needed if she is to be left alone for long periods during the day. If she gets out she doesn't run off just hangs around looking for her family. I currently leave her in a secure dog pen or inside if I need to leave her alone to manage this.
Twix is trustworthy if left inside, she is not destructive and will happily sleep in a crate if needed. She is good with all types of dogs big and small and cats are of no interest to her.
