Zoey

Adorable Zoey is a really sweet little puppy. She just loves to play with the bigger dogs, and to run around and cuddle up to kids. She has lots of energy for games, and loves to play with her toys and anything that's left lying around. She has just started to go for walks with the big dogs and she copes really well provided she has a lie down in the shade every now and then. She is surprisingly confident for such a little girl really, going off with the others for a bit of exploring and socialising with the really big dogs nicely. She has obviously been around other dogs because she has excellent doggy manners.

Zoey was found dumped at the BP in Elliott, probably because she was vomiting. She didn't look too good, but immediately went into a quarantined room with one of out team. Over the next day she looked more depressed, so she started treatment for parvovirus, which ran its dreadful course over the next 5 days. It was touch and go there for a while, but with treatment and care she recovered. She has bounced back really well and is now out of quarantine, growing like a weed, and enjoying life to the max. Paradoxically, the day she was dumped turned out to be her lucky day.

Zoey is looking for a secure and loving home preferably with some kids to play and run around with. We have advertised her as a medium dog but we think she will not grow much more than 10-12 kg.

Our rescue and rehabilitation work happens in Central Australia, but because of the scarcity of adopters locally, our re-homing operation is in South Australia. Zoey's adoption fee includes crate hire, courier transport by road from Tennant Creek to Alice Springs, and a direct flight from Alice Springs to Adelaide.
