About Tortellini and Spaghetti (CaV17-194 and CaV17-195)
Have you been dreaming of doing something really, REALLY important this year, something totally different and life-changing, but now you only have a few days to go of 2017? Well we have the solution for you - adopt these pasta kitties and change 3 lives at once (both of theirs, and yours)!
There are two kinds of homes that could suit Spaghetti and Tortellini (it's like a Goosebumps "choose your own ending" book!!)
Option 1:
Are you
- patient
-loving
-dedicated
-committed
-living in a quiet home
-okay with your friends and guests only ever seeing the tail-end of your cats
Tortellini and Spaghetti are a ready-made family who just needs a home to complete their set-up. Born on a property in Merredin, they missed out on some of the critical early socialisation that creates confident, out-going, social-butterfly cats but never fear they have warmed so nicely to people in foster care and they are DESPERATE to become part of a proper family. They just don't know how and they need a patient and understanding new owner to help them continue their journey.
Both girls enjoy being patted at food time and Spaghetti is more ambitious when it comes to interacting with people - shes rushes up wanting a pat, then poofs out her tail and turns away, then turns back and comes in for a huge smooch. Then she gets right into the patting and smooching before abruptly deciding she's had enough and delicately nipping you on the arm to let you know she's done (it's not a nasty bite and she's never broken skin).
In a new home they will need a long time in a small area to learn to feel confident and comfortable. You probably won't see much of them to start with, but it's up to you to force your friendship on them!
You might wonder why you would bother with all the effort of these guys but here's the thing... it's SO rewarding. The rush you get every time they make just a little progress - it's out of this world. You KNOW that you've saved lives. And once they have bonded with you, it's like concrete. They will be the most loyal and loving companions you could wish for.
You will need to have no small children in the house. Other cats are fine, they're very social (and could even learn a thing or two from a more confident and friendly cat). A calm dog would also be acceptable. We would strongly recommend that they be indoor-only cats or with cat run access. If you have any questions at all we're here to help!
Option 2
You forgot there was another option, didn't you? Well here it is!
If you have a shed/stable/barn with a rodent problem and you're looking for an all-natural pest control solution these girls would fit the bill very nicely. Because they are already accustomed to humans they will learn to be happy mooching around you when you're there, but they won't mind being left to their own devices the rest of the time. They would need a safe area to be locked into for a couple of weeks while they settle in but then they can be left to roam.
If you think you have a home that fits either option for Tortellini and Spaghetti, we would love to hear from you. Did we mention they're 2 for the price of 1?! Desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and parasite treated.
*We're currently located in Northam but can be transported for meets or adoption!*
Adoption details
Thank you for taking the time to view one of our lovely animals. We love them all and we hope you will too.
If you would like to know more about an animal please call Freedom on 0409 000 259. If it sounds like you and the furry creature are a suitable match then we will pass on the foster carer’s details to you so you can call and make a time to meet them.
Once you have met the animal and wish to go further then we may organise a yard check to ensure that your yard is safe and secure (dogs only). You can then take your new family member home on a 2 week trial and if you decide they are not suitable then you can return them.
If you are not sure how existing animals in your home might be affected, or you want a little extra time to get to know the nature of the animal, we may allow you to foster with a view to adopt.
