About George
** Please read George's listing thoroughly before submitting an application**
George is a stunning young lad who is proving to be a fantastic little pup! He is approximately 4-5 months old.
We’d don’t know what mix of breeds George is. But his merle markings suggest he may have koolie or catahoula heritage.
George has been very quick to pick up rules and training in his short time in care. This boy is super receptive to positive reinforcement training. He has loads of potential for the right person.
George is crate trained. He sleeps inside in his crate without any fuss at all.
George hasn’t had any toileting accidents inside. But he also hasn’t been given a chance to 😉 ..so I’d say he is well on his way to being house trained.
George can be a bit nervous around new ‘things’. But with the right encouragement manages to pull himself through and move forward.
George is friendly with other dogs. And he also currently lives with cats, but is quite terrible with them.
George has proven to be a bit nippy with the youngsters and can also nip when he is excited (we are working on this) - but given he is not a small dog it is suggested that he is not placed with children under 8 or 10 years.
just like any other young dog if left to his own devices, he will find his own fun! 😉
George is looking for an adopter who can further build his confidence and continue his training. George will also require being included in family life. As with any high energy working breed (mix) dogs, George will require someone who can keep his mind busy and be able to keep up with high energy demands.
George will be ready to be adopted once all of his vetwork is complete.
