Straggle

Check out this gorgeous girl!

Straggle is absolutely adorable – both in looks and in nature. She is super sweet and affectionate, liking nothing more than to be close to you. Climbing into your lap or leaning up against you on the lounge for pats and cuddles is her favourite thing. You can tell how much she likes it as she gets this big puppy dog smile on her face. She would love to spend her evenings or midday siestas curled up on the lounge with you. Straggle is great with people and she greets everyone with a waggy tail. She also likes to play with toys and is a playful puppy who is ready to join in the fun, or be the fun of her new family.

During her time in care, Straggle has met a range of other dogs. She can be a bit timid and overwhelmed by new dogs initially but once she gets to know them she loves to play. She enjoys playing with the other dogs and puppies in her foster home, and can often be seen wrestling or running around the yard with them. If the game gets a bit too rough for her she will exit it for some time out. Straggle will be a moderately active dog who will require daily exercise. She will also require regular socialisation to build her confidence with meeting new dogs. She will need regular trips to the dog park/beach and play dates with other doggie friends.

Training has begun in her foster home and Straggle is learning to walk on a lead, not to jump up, and sit for a treat. She is good off lead and will sticks pretty close to her carer. It is very important that her new family are committed to continuing her training through attending puppy preschool and dog training classes. Her training will be an integral part of building her confidence in new situations and places. She is going well with her toilet training and is crate trained. She sleeps through the whole night in her crate without needing to toilet.

We are looking for an experienced home where Straggle will be a part of the family and included in the daily activities. She will require a home with another playful doggy companion and/or where someone is home most of the time to keep her company. She should be allowed inside the house to be with the family and will need a warm comfy bed inside to sleep on at night. Straggle will be a loyal and loving companion for some lucky family.
