About Cherry ~ Koolie x Dane (pending adoption 20/12/17)
AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION: Cherry
Meet Cherry, otherwise know as Chica Cherry Cola! The sweetest, most placid puppy on the planet! Truly not an exaggeration. This 5 month old Koolie x Dane cross Bull Arab pup actually thinks she is a hand bag dog and wants nothing more than to take up residence on the lounge with her humans.
Whilst she would love to be carried everywhere, her size is bringing that to a quick end and we expect she will be a medium to large size dog. She is learning to walk on the lead, but likes to take life at her own pace.... slowly! This is definitely not the dog for a family who wants a buddy for hikes up mountains, she would however make an amazing companion dog. She is well socialised with other dogs and would love another dog for play time in the yard. She will need secure fencing and gates but has not shown any signs of wanting to escape.
Cherry would be suitable for a range of families and lifestyles. She will be happy anywhere that she is allowed to meander at her own pace with lots of pats and cuddles, she is showing true Dane qualities in her personality. She is a great little guard dog and will let you know whenever someone enters the yard, the effort however stops at a loud bark. She is a little wary of men, but the right one will win her over. She adores children.
If looks are your thing, this pup has it in spades. We get stopped everywhere we go due to her spectacular mearle coat. She is short haired and low maintenance but will need protection from the hot sun due to the amount of white on her. She has been desexed and had her vacinations. She also had a surgery to correct a condition with her tear ducts, but has full vet clearance to go to her forever home.
Cherry is currently in care in Salamander Bay and is available for adoption interstate. If you are interested in adopting Cherry, please contact her foster mum Lauren at hitthesand@hotmail.com.
Cherry’s adoption fee is $450 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
