About Ruby
Meet Ruby a sweet natured female stock coated German Shepherd currently in care at Cessnock.
Ruby spent her life as a yard dog living with another male German Shepherd. The landlord determined that only one dog could stay so Ruby came into our care.
Ruby is now learning what it is like to be given love, affection, good food and the comfort of inclusion in the home.
Ruby is beautiful with her humans and would be a wonderful companion dog for a woman.
Having lived in a home where her previous male owner mistreated her she is fearful of men
Best suited as the only dog as she was starved of affection and now she wants her human all to herself.
Ruby is now house trained and is putting in weight and condition. We feel that Ruby would be best suited to a home as an only dog as she tends to herd other dogs away so she can receive all the attention.
Ruby shows interest in cats and is untested with small breed dogs and we are looking for a caring owner who will provide her with daily walks, playtime and a loving home where she will have inclusion in the home.
For more information on Ruby please contact us.
Medical notes
Ruby is desexed, C5 vaccinated is on heart worm prevention and has been wormed and flea treated.
Adoption details
We have an Adoptions Manager who screens all prospective candidates as to their suitability to adopt a German Shepherd Dog.
We try to contact every one by phone but if that isn't successful we will email our application form to you, which needs to be completed and returned, or you can call us back and we can chat and complete for you. We will also ask you to provide photos of your yard and fencing to enable us to see where the dog will be kept and that they have areas of shade and shelter.
All our dogs are ready to go to their new home, so when you enquire about a dog you must be in a position to take them into your home. We are unable to hold a dog while you fix your fences or go on holiday, etc.
The successful candidate who adopts one of our dogs is provided with an information kit, ongoing support, training and advice on all aspects of feeding, training and general assistance to ensure both the new owner and our rescued dog settle into their home.
