About Buzz
Buzz is always happy to see you and loves lots of pats, cuddles and a good belly rub. He is 1 of 4 pups that arrived into care after being dumped on the doorstep of a local vet. He is currently in foster care with a 1 year old dog and 3 cats.
We believe that Buzz is a Mastiff cross and will be a large dog when fully grown.
Buzz has settled in really well to his foster home and enjoys the company of both dogs and humans. He's quite happy to spend his days outdoors, as long as he has someone/something to play with, a full belly, a comfy place to snooze and some toys to keep him amused. He is both dog and cat friendly and learning to use the grass for toileting, which he's almost mastered. Buzz is currently sleeping outside at night and has shown no food aggression while in care.
Buzz has been exposed to many children ranging from ages 1-7 and shows no aggression, only love for the tiny humans. Buzz does bounce when excited but is learning quickly and with continued training he will only improve. He’s extremely food motivated and attentive, so should be a breeze to train.
If he was to be an only dog, he would need continued socialisation with other dogs during his puppy stage and into adulthood, as well as ongoing training so that he grows up to be a well mannered, socialised young man
We would love to help get you started with that, so our amazing supporters, Best Friends - Erina, have kindly offered to include a 5 week Puppy training course with all of our Puppy adoptions (up to 16wks of age)....The Best Friends Puppy Pre-School service is a fun and interactive five-week training course that covers puppy behaviours, diet, health, grooming, exercise and play, with an emphasis on socialisation, command training, health and care. Their aim is to teach you positive ways to train your puppy in basic skills such as ‘sit’, ‘drop’, ‘stay’, and how to walk well on a lead, but also how to control your puppy’s not so desirable behaviours like toileting inside, biting, mouthing and separation anxiety.
Buzz is yet to have his vet work done but we are happy to organise meets in the next couple of weeks, and secure an adoption with a non refundable deposit so that he can head off to his new home once his vet work is done (3rd Jan).
