About Bear
Bear is reported as being good around all animals but is a dominant dog so is best paired with a friendly female dog. He is reported as being good with kids, not overly cuddly or clingy but very keen to play ball or go for a walk. Bear LOVES to swim but does not enjoy bath time. Due to his longer than usual coat he can overheat easily so needs to have access to a paddle pool such as a clam shell so that he can cool off as needed. Bear has never been a fence jumper and has safely stayed behind waist high fences. He is an athletic dog though and could have the ability to scale a rural height fence. Bear would suit a family with older kids who like to play fetch or someone wanting an exercise partner. Bear will play fetch or chase balls ALL DAY LONG, he loves it so much we brought a ball thrower to make it easier on Ranger staff :-)
Bear does need work on his basic training but is a smart young dog so will be easy to train
Bear is good to come inside but needs some work on toilet training re no. 1's
Bear was surrendered through no fault of his own as a result of a serious family illness. He is an active dog and his owner was unable to meet his needs for the foreseeable future.
Medical notes
Bear will be desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and wormed prior to rehoming.
A kind member of the community has donated towards Bear's vet costs so we are able to offer him at a reduced rate.
