About Olaf *Adoption Pending* *Special Requirements*
PLEASE READ THROUGH OLAF'S MEDICAL NOTES AS YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO SIGN A MEDICAL WAIVER AS PART OF HIS ADOPTION
Aptly named, Olaf, is a special little boy who is an awesome combination of goofy and sweet. He loves to follow his foster family around the yard and is most happy whenever he is with people. Olaf has the typical energy of a Dane puppy, plays big but sleeps bigger. He likes meeting new people and is vocal in his excitement. Like many Danes, Olaf shows an aversion to wet grass and all things icky and is inclined to bark at you when you go near things he doesn’t like.
Olaf will require a family who are willing to be patient as being a Dane and hearing impaired, Olaf does become confused when there are many sounds around, and takes a little longer to follow instructions. He is eager to please and is already sitting for his treats. Olaf is deaf in one ear and a little bit cross eyed but that’s just another one of the reasons he is so special. He would benefit from a companion canine friend and a family who will have a lot of time for him.
Olaf is located in Thornlands, QLD.

Medical notes
This handsome man sadly has the typical genetic problems we see with double merle breedings. Though he can see and moves around extremely well, he is sight impaired and his pupils do not always rest centered. He is also deaf in one ear, however can hear well from the other - this was clinically tested/proven. Neither of these impairments require medical attention/treatment or medication at this stage nor in the near future. Olaf is a happy, normal puppy and just needs a little extra care given with his training.
Olaf will be desexed, vaccinated & microchipped.

ADOPTION:
To meet, adopt or find out more details on this animal, please fill in our adoption application at our website- http://www.safehavenanimalrescueinc.com
Completing this application form does not place you under any obligation to adopt.
Safe Haven Animal Rescue Inc have a 10 day trial/settling period, if for any reason the pet needs to be returned, we will happily take them back into our care once a foster home is found and the adoption fee minus $50 (admin fee) will be returned via bank transfer within 5 working days. If the pet is returned after the trial period there will be no refund made.
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption application MUST be filled out prior to the meet and greet with the animal.
2. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place. You must bring your current dog along to the meet and greet if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption. If meeting a cat we do not recommend brining your current dog/cat as this may stress the cat/kitten out.
3. The animal MUST not be taken on the day unless PRIOR ARRANGED (travelling over a 2 hr round trip), we will NOT ACCEPT the animal to be taken on the day if less then 2 days notice is given. If prior arrangement is made, an adoption agreement/s and payment must be made before collection of the animal.
4. 10 day trial period commences once the animal has been collected from foster carer.
5. Adoption is finalised after 14 days and paperwork is sent via email.
Sorry we can’t take calls, as our rescue is run entirely by volunteers, but we endeavour to respond to your email within 24 - 48 hours. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
