About Sable
Sable and Ash are looking for a loving new home as their owners have gone. Their owners had organised someone for them but due to an emergency they are now looking for a new home. Sable and Ash are in care in Cumberland Reach, nr Windsor.
They are nine and a half years old they are litter mates but Sable is a male German Shepherd and Ash is a female German Shepherd cross Border Collie (different fathers), and have never spent a night without each other, so should really be adopted together.
Sable and Ash are in excellent health and fitness. Obedience trained, desexed, microchipped, perfect record around children and other dogs, and used to strict rules. They lived outside, and do not need a lot of attention or exercise - but would welcome a loving family with dog savvy children having grown up around children,
Sable is protection trained also (will become protective of his family is endangered), but this can remain "dormant" if no need for it.
They were living in a very small yard, and we’re taken to a park every afternoon for a run around. They are trained to walk on a lead (check chains), but are equally happy without daily walks (as long there is some playtime with a ball once a day).
Sable and Ash come with bedding, food, flea tablets, leads and all other equipment.
So if you are interested in giving these two beautiful dogs a new home, please call either 0423 659 155 or 0497 398 062
Medical notes
Sable is fully vaccinated, microchipped and desexed, he has been flea treated and wormed.
Adoption details
We have an Adoptions Manager who screens all prospective candidates as to their suitability to adopt a German Shepherd Dog.
We try to contact every one by phone but if that isn't successful we will email our application form to you, which needs to be completed and returned, or you can call us back and we can chat and complete for you. We will also ask you to provide photos of your yard and fencing to enable us to see where the dog will be kept and that they have areas of shade and shelter.
All our dogs are ready to go to their new home, so when you enquire about a dog you must be in a position to take them into your home. We are unable to hold a dog while you fix your fences or go on holiday, etc.
The successful candidate who adopts one of our dogs is provided with an information kit, ongoing support, training and advice on all aspects of feeding, training and general assistance to ensure both the new owner and our rescued dog settle into their home.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
The rescue group has removed this pet and it is no longer available for adoption.
