About Benny
Benny is a very adorable, loveable and loyal boy. He loves to be near his foster carers and play with his toys - he is very much a puppy at heart!
Benny is looking for a female-only forever home with no other animals/young children for the time being, and someone who is home most of the time to help him overcome some behavioural issues he is displaying.
if you meet Benny's needs so far, please read on.
Benny's past is unknown and he has been observed to not be too comfortable with males. He is improving with his carers male relative, and even accepts a pat, but further positive experiences with men will be required to improve his confidence.
Benny's carers are currently working on his basic obedience, but he will need a little more help in regards to learning his manners, especially in regards to his leash manners in public.
He barks at and is easily distracted by other dogs and people. With a little patience and a slow introduction to the people and dogs he will be encountering, he does walk better.
We believe Benny will benefit immensely from in-home visits for a behaviourist upon moving on to his forever home to help with some of his behavioural issues and set up a good routine for him.
Even though he is small, this guy has a lot of energy he needs to burn off daily. A good walk in the mornings, and perhaps some short runs throughout the week will make Benny a very happy boy.
Mental activities, through training or brain challenges, will also be beneficial in ensuring Benny doesn’t get bored, and will certainly help the bonding process between him and his new owner.
If you would like to learn more about Benny, and think you can offer Benny a loving forever home, where he can thrive and receive the help he needs, please contact us!
Benny is currently located in Geelong.
Adoption details
If you think one of our animals would be a good match for your home please email us and we will be in touch shortly after. We all work fulltime, have families and other commitments so your patience is appreciated.
We do require any other dogs in your home meeting our foster animal before they head home with you. This enables us to assess their compatibility and helps prevent them being returned and creating more confusion/insecurities for the foster animal.
All our animals are available for a two week trial with full refund. They are also covered by a lifetime return policy. If you ever find yourself unable to care for or keep your pet please contact us and they will come back into our care, this is a condition of our Adoptions.
