About Billy
Hey I am Billy and I am looking for my new best mate to spend the rest of my life with. I am a really cool little dude and I am full of life and full of love. My breed mix makes me really unique looking. I have these little pointy ears, a very big smile and a stubby little tail that just never stops wagging!
I was left to die at a rural NSW pound. OTC stepped in and transported me all the way up to Toowoomba to put me into foster care and keep me safe. I got to town nice and early while my new foster mum was at work so I had to chill out out the Boss's house for a bit. I am that adorable that she almost didn't want to give me up!
I settled straight away into my new foster home and it was apparent straight away just how cool I am. I adore the other dogs I live with and we get a long like a house on fire. I had never met cats before so at first they scared me a bit but now I am confident and just leave them alone.
When I came into care it was pretty obvious that I had received no training. My foster mum is super impressed with how smart I am though because I picked up how to sit in less than a few hours and I now even wait for my food. I still have some more training to go so that I truly am a 'good boy' but I will get there. I love food too so training is easy, my new family just need to help me out along the way as well.
I am a young guy so I am full of beans and life. Sometimes I eat my breakfast out of a wobbly kong and that really keeps my little mind busy. I also love to play with balls and other cool Kong toys. I like to run, wrestle, play and go all day, so that I can sleep by your side at night. I love having other dogs keep me company during the day while my humans are away.
I am so well behaved inside. It's because I just want to be with you so I know I have to be good in order to stay inside. When I come in I will just follow you around and lay by your side. I am very loyal like that.
Who knows how I ended up at the pound. I didn't deserve it that's for sure. But I am just going to make the most of my second chance. Well, I am off to play ball now and work on my sit, chat soon!
Adoption details
Before applying, please consider and finalise the following: real estate approval, fence repair if needed, outside shelter areas and look into the dog's breed dietary requirements eg large breed vs medium breed.
Once you are ready to adopt, please complete the OTC Adoption Application questionnaire below. This is not a contract or agreement of any kind, just an expression of interest in the animal. We will not authorise meets unless this has been completed and only approved applications may meet the dogs. Once you are approved and have submitted all relevant information, we will organise for you to meet the dog at your home, or in a public place. If you have other animals they must be at the meet.
If at the meet, you and the dog get along- you have the option of either taking the dog on the spot (in exchange for the full adoption fee paid upfront, and contract signed)- or placing the dog on hold for up to 2 days without any holding fee applicable. When adoption begins you will be provided with 7 days' worth of food for the dog, as well as what brand and type of food it is, so that you may change their diet carefully and slowly, or purchase more, if needed.
*PLEASE NOTE we do not hold dogs for 3 days or longer, without a non-refundable holding deposit of $100. If you are unwilling to put a deposit on the dog, we will continue to advertise and speak with other potential adopters and so you may miss out. We have had to make the deposit non refundable to avoid time-wasters, especially when it comes to puppies under 5 months of age. The $100 holding deposit is then subtracted from the outstanding adoption fee, which is to be paid at collection of the dog. Eg if full adoption fee is $450, and you pay a $100 holding fee so we can hold the dog for a week- the day you collect the dog you will sign and adoption contract, and pay the remaining $350 fee of which $50 is non-refundable.
During the trial period, should the pet become ill, you must present it to the OTC-approved vet clinic in your area and OTC will cover any treatment needed.
On commencement of the trial period, OTC will send you a copy of your signed contract, the vaccination cards, desexing certificate and microchip number implant details.
So. Ready to roll? Then fill out the attached short form, and we will be in contact to successful applicants asap. Feel free to follow us up via Facebook page inbox.
