About “Rummy”, Simply Irresistible. Melbourne
Warning, you may find Rummy impossible to resist! First of all, she’s charming to look at, with beautiful soft fawn fur. Even better, she’s already very well-adapted to pet life, and is back with us (through no fault of her own) after two years in a loving household in the inner city. What’s more, Rummy is super-affectionate, and loves to rest her head against anyone who’ll pat her. And wait for it…Rummy is cat-friendly (inside cats only)! Who can resist that combination?
Before you rush out to meet her, Rummy would like you to know that she needs a canine companion, and preferably humans who’ll spend plenty of time with her. She gets frightened and barks if left completely alone (although is never destructive), and is happiest when she has another dog around for company. Rummy socialises beautifully with other dogs of all sizes, and is equally wonderful with people of all ages (including children six or over). Everyone she meets thinks she’s the most lovable hound in town!
Rummy has impeccable manners (she never gets on the bed, and obeys any instructions her humans teach her), a gorgeous smile (with nice clean teeth), and loves running, playing and enjoying life to the full. Resistance is futile…this girl will steal your heart.

All our dogs are desexed, vaccinated, wormed, flea treated and microchipped.
Adoption details
Dogs are pack animals and Greyhounds, in particular, are very familiar with being surrounded by other dogs in their racing kennel environment. For this reason, when left alone without people or other dogs for company, they can be prone to separation anxiety which can manifest in destructive and/or noisy behaviour. Yes, they may "grow out" of it after a few weeks in their new home, but why put the dog through that stress to ultimately live all day alone, while everyone is at work? As a result we do not rehome dogs into households where they are left on their own for more than 4 hours per day, without either people or another dog for company.

Following your initial application, we conduct a home check. Our dogs are placed on a two week trial. The adoption fee is paid at time of placement and reimbursed if the trial is unsuccessful.
After the trial period is deemed successful, the adoption process is finalised.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
The rescue group has removed this pet and it is no longer available for adoption.
