About Marilyn
Meet MARILYN!
Miss Marilyn is a 2-year-old mastiff x great dane x wolfhound. Along with being deaf, Marilyn is also blind. Don’t feel sorry for her though – she doesn’t let her sensory deficits get in the way of living a great life!
Marilyn is making wonderful progress with all her training, having mastered Sit, Drop, Wait, Crawl, Roll over, Up and Follow (this is being done with touch commands). She’s also crate trained and will happily put herself in her crate when she’s ready for some quiet time or a nap.
Marilyn is good with other dogs, but she can be a bit bouncy so would be best suited to a canine companion staffy sized or bigger. She is ok with dog savvy cats but will require supervision. She isn’t suited to sharing her home with pocket pets.
Marilyn is a very affectionate girl and loves to spend as much time as possible with her people. She is an independent dog though and has no trouble keeping herself entertained if she’s left by herself.
One of her favourite activities includes splashing around in her clam pool and she equally loves going on a beach adventure.
As she’s still a bit bouncy, Marilyn would be best suited to a home where any kids are aged 12+. The ideal home for Marilyn is one where her new family is committed to progressing her training and continuing to build/maintain her confidence so that even though she can’t hear or see, she can keep being exposed to new experiences. She would make a wonderful candidate for Noseworks.
Marilyn is currently located in Townsville, QLD

Adoption details
Hear No Evil's Adoption process:
1st Step * You contact us to obtain an adoption application, and discuss the dog of interest.
Once the application is completed and returned it will be assessed for suitability.
2nd Step * A Meet and Greet with the dog and all members of the adopting family and and current dogs is arranged where possible.
This usually coincides with a Yard check to ensure the safety and security of the property on which the dog will be kept. - We understand that this is not always possible in interstate adoptions and this will be discussed on your initial contact.
3rd Step *Payment of the Adoption fee in full. The dog is then handed over with any belongings, and all relevant paperwork and records.
Transport arrangements are the financial responsibility of the Adopting party. Hear No Evil are happy to assist with departure preparations and ensuring the dog makes its transport connection.
Final step * Once the 14 day 'settling in' period has ended, the change of ownership microchip details are submitted, and the adoption is officially finalised.
