About Nina
My name is Nina and I am a sweet loving little girl on the look out for a family to call my own.
I am one of the many dogs saved by OTC from death row. I was living in a concrete cell that was cold, smelly and lonely. I hated it there; it's no place for a princess to live.
I am so grateful that OTC saved me. Now, I get to live in a beautiful foster house with other dogs and cats. I am just so happy to be free.
I am sweet and gentle, and everyone falls in love with me. At my foster home, I am allowed inside but spend most of my time outside. I have another dog to play with and I sure do love the company. I also live with a little kitten and I have shown no interest in him.
I can get excited at times, but don't mistake that for me being naughty, because it most definitely isn't! That is one of the ways I show love. I respond well to positive discipline and I just LOVE food so training has proven easy. I am a smart girl, and loyal and my foster mum thinks I am just amazing.
I guarantee you won't make it past my beautiful personality and puppy eyes
Adoption details
Before applying, please consider and finalise the following: real estate approval, fence repair if needed, outside shelter areas and look into the dog's breed dietary requirements eg large breed vs medium breed.
Once you are ready to adopt, please complete the OTC Adoption Application questionnaire below. This is not a contract or agreement of any kind, just an expression of interest in the animal. We will not authorise meets unless this has been completed and only approved applications may meet the dogs. Once you are approved and have submitted all relevant information, we will organise for you to meet the dog at your home, or in a public place. If you have other animals they must be at the meet.
If at the meet, you and the dog get along- you have the option of either taking the dog on the spot (in exchange for the full adoption fee paid upfront, and contract signed)- or placing the dog on hold for up to 2 days without any holding fee applicable. When adoption begins you will be provided with 7 days' worth of food for the dog, as well as what brand and type of food it is, so that you may change their diet carefully and slowly, or purchase more, if needed.
*PLEASE NOTE we do not hold dogs for 3 days or longer, without a non-refundable holding deposit of $100. If you are unwilling to put a deposit on the dog, we will continue to advertise and speak with other potential adopters and so you may miss out. We have had to make the deposit non refundable to avoid time-wasters, especially when it comes to puppies under 5 months of age. The $100 holding deposit is then subtracted from the outstanding adoption fee, which is to be paid at collection of the dog. Eg if full adoption fee is $450, and you pay a $100 holding fee so we can hold the dog for a week- the day you collect the dog you will sign and adoption contract, and pay the remaining $350 fee of which $50 is non-refundable.
During the trial period, should the pet become ill, you must present it to the OTC-approved vet clinic in your area and OTC will cover any treatment needed.
On commencement of the trial period, OTC will send you a copy of your signed contract, the vaccination cards, desexing certificate and microchip number implant details.
So. Ready to roll? Then fill out the attached short form, and we will be in contact to successful applicants asap. Feel free to follow us up via Facebook page inbox.
