Charlie is a youngster who is a very sweet affectionate boy. Charlie has been abandoned twice in his short life. Bottle fed as a pup after his mother tried to eat the entire litter - Charlie's first home was struck with tragedy and he came back to us as a rambunctious 9 month old. So finding a home was challenging, but we thought we had succeeded.

Then after another year - Charlie was returned yet again - as his care became "too hard" when changed in circumstances in the home saw Charlie alone for many hours of each day.

By the time of his return the second time - Charlie was almost uncontrollable. We could not believe that it was the same dog.

So we set to work!!

We stripped things back to basics as if Charlie know nothing. We set the most fundamental rules for Charlie and before we knew it - we could see glimpses of the "old" Charlie. He was trying SO HARD for us and it was evident that we were making a huge breakthrough in his behavior. Charlie realized that we WANTED to please us, and from there it has been a much easier rehabilitation than we originally expected.

Paul from Complete K9 Solutions has been monitoring Charlies improvement every week.Charlie was deemed "most improved" and was allowed to come to our Adoption Day at Better Pets and Gardens in December, mostly for the exposure therapy. With our handlers Charlie behaved beautifully on the day.

Charlie is responding well to his new disciplines.He loves to play and go for walks. But Charlie will always needs firm rules and boundaries from his master.

Charlie loves to part of things and would love to be included in family events. He has rediscovered his affectionate side and enjoys his pats and cuddles.

He would be great in an active - experienced household. Can you help Charlie?
