About Sami
Sami is a four year old desexed female German Shepherd in care at Miranda.
Sami was rescued from a country pound where she must have wandered off her property or even worse dumped as her former owner never came to collect her.
Her paws were bloodied and worn down so she must have wandered for same days before being found and brought into the Animal Shelter.
Sami is a delight to have around she is affectionate and loving and enjoys her cuddles and playtime.
Being a coated German Shepherd she will benefit from being weekly brushed and will feel the heat more so then a stock coat shepherd. So we are looking for a home were Sami can have inclusion in her home.
Sami will benefit from further lead training as we can see she had never been trained to walk on a lead. So her foster Mum is teaching her to walk to heal.
Sami would be suitable to go as a friend for another male dog of similar size. At this stage Sami has not been tested with cats.

Medical notes
Sami has been desexed, vaccinated C7, heart worm tested negative and microchipped. She has also been groomed, flea treated and wormed
Adoption details
We have an Adoptions Manager who screens all prospective candidates as to their suitability to adopt a German Shepherd Dog.
We try to contact every one by phone but if that isn't successful we will email our application form to you, which needs to be completed and returned, or you can call us back and we can chat and complete for you. We will also ask you to provide photos of your yard and fencing to enable us to see where the dog will be kept and that they have areas of shade and shelter.
All our dogs are ready to go to their new home, so when you enquire about a dog you must be in a position to take them into your home. We are unable to hold a dog while you fix your fences or go on holiday, etc.
The successful candidate who adopts one of our dogs is provided with an information kit, ongoing support, training and advice on all aspects of feeding, training and general assistance to ensure both the new owner and our rescued dog settle into their home.
