About Samson and Ayah
So this is a huge ask but we are sure there is someone special out there that can make it possible!
Samson and Ayah are two VERY special dogs with an amazingly special bond and we would love them to be adopted together.
Samson came to us born with no eyes. He was suffering from multiple infections and also had double retained testicles. He had surgery to sew up his open eye sockets to prevent further infections. It was a long process and during his time in care he met Ayah.
Ayah came in to care as a tiny pup all the way from Warburton. She arrived with Parvo. Mange, ticks and was very underweight. Her recovery was touch and go but she pulled through. It was clear she wanted company and once she was no longer contagious she met Samson.
Almost immediately they hit it off and have been inseparable ever since. When they had both recovered enough to find forever families, a couple came to meet them, they decided to take them both together but needed to wait two months until they were set up. Wanting them together so much we agreed, fast forward two months and the family informed us this week that their situation has changed and they are no longer in a position to care for them. Leaving us in this predicament about what to do for these two amazing dogs.
We know its a huge ask to home pets together let alone a blind dog and his little side kick, but we feel its our duty to try our hardest and there will be the perfect family out there.
Both dogs are social, they are good with kids but better to live with children who are dog savvy as Samson is quite a large dog and cant see so he can be a bit clumsy and accidently knock over a small child and Ayah can push the boundries but always corrects when told by her humans. They are both still puppies Ayah around 6-7 months and Samson approx. 10 months now.
Samson is a Ridgeback and Ayahs breed is a small-medium mix breed possibly staffy x jackrussell or along those lines.
Much time, effort, blood, sweat, tears and love has gone into both of these dogs.
If you think you are willing and able to home these gorgeous animals please get in touch for further information.
Both dogs are desexed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, wormed, flea treated and vet checked. Adoption fee has been discounted to $800 for the pair
These dogs, no matter how special, are still dogs.
They are not an idealistic notion.
They are cheeky, adventurous ratbags.
They love to cuddle and play, they at times chew things they shouldn't and just like any other puppy, you tell them off and love them anyway.
We are looking for a family who will give them time to settle and understand a big change takes time, who understands they will need to bond with you and trust you before responding to you like they currently do with their carer. They will push the boundaries to work out the new house rules.
A family who understands they are young and need consistency. They will grow out of the puppy phase in time ( Ayah is still growing her teeth!)
A forever family willing to put the effort in now to gain the rewards later. These two have so very much to offer.
If you think you are the right home
•you’re willing and able to put the time and effort into developing a relationship.
•You own your home or have realestate approval and proof of it.
•Have no other dogs ( they are dog social so play dates are fine! but they deserve to be the centre of their families world)
•have no very young children ( primary aged up )
Applications need to be competed returned, if renting proof of pernimission to have pets on property must be submitted for your application to be considered.
* New owners must also be able to travel to Kalgoorlie or at least half way to meet the dogs.
Medical notes
Samson has no eyes. He is completely blind. No further health or medical issues.
Ayah has survived Parvo and had Mange as a baby but is in full health with no ongoin medical issues.
