About Penelope ~ Mastiff x Lab (on trial 6/12/2017)
Hi, my name is Penelope but my foster parents only call me that when I’m in trouble, all other times I’m known as ‘Penny’. I am a 10 week old Mastiff X Lab pup. I am very sweet and enjoy lots and lots of cuddles. I love playing with my foster sisters, they keep me very busy.
I am a very healthy little puppy who has been raised in a home environment. I am very comfortable keeping myself entertained and rarely cause any mischief for my foster family. I am going to grow up to be a very well behaved little girl. I already know where I have to go to the toilet and I am improving more and more everyday, soon there will be no accidents! I can also bring you back a ball if you throw it to me and am almost understanding how to sit!
Even though I’m really tiny right now, I will grow up to be a large dog. Puppy-training classes would give me the best start in life as. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.
It would be a big plus if you have a friendly adult dog as a teacher, companion and playmate for me. If you don't have another dog to keep me company, then there needs to be someone in the household that doesn't work full time.
I need to be welcome inside when people are home, and to sleep inside at least until fully grown. I will be wonderful family dog and am suitable for children 8 years and older. You need good fencing with no small gaps. I can't go to rural fencing (eg: mesh or wire).
As I’m is not yet desexed, I am only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because I'll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when I’m approximately 5 months old.
For more information or to meet me, please contact my foster mum Vienna on dowelly11@gmail.com. I am in foster care in Mayfield, NSW.
My adoption fee is $500 and includes my desexing, vaccinations and microchipping and I have been treated for fleas and worms.
Medical notes
Happy and healthy puppy.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
