About Taj
TAJ – 7 Yrs. – M/C 956000002697778 Adoption fee $350
SINGLE DOG HOME
NO CATS
Hi my name is Taj and I was ran over by a car.
Last Tuesday 21st Nov. I was taken to an emergency vet who phoned Jan to explain that I needed surgery to remove my leg and then go to a rescue group.
Thankfully Jan said to get me to Advanced VetCare in Kensington ASAP and they will save the leg, phew!!!
So at the moment Advanced VetCare are taking good care of me but they need to wait for the swelling in my chest to go down so they can monitor my heart whilst I have my leg pinned. I’ve also got to have a tooth or two removed. This will most probable all happen early next week.
I will have an external frame on my fractured leg and will need to go into care, thankfully auntie Linda Mirams & auntie Greta Beacroft have said they will need to take it in turns to care for me as they both have dogs and I’m not that good with other dogs which is why I would rather find a home ASAP so I can be settled whilst I get better and not ever have to move again.
I will need the frame for 4 to 6 weeks and then hopefully the X-ray will show I’m all healed.
Not much is known about me and I can’t get auntie Trish Harris to do a behavioural assessment because I will be on the other side of town and wont feel up to having one done for a while anyway.
So can anyone help me and adopt me PLEASE?
I will need someone home for the next 6 weeks so they can take me out to the toilet, a large crate will be provided for me to live in during that time.
I’m very confused and to tell you the truth I’m feeling a bit depressed. I can’t walk on my leg because it hurts, as does my chest where the car ran over me. I have to thank my lucky stars though as not only am I alive SRV are going to save my leg and that will be down to you their wonderful followers who always donate in a crisis with dogs like me.
I would like to thank you all in advance and will post updates during the next 6 weeks.
So if you think you can offer me a good forever home where you’ll be able to give me all the above, and, in return, I’ll give you all the love and loyalty you could ask for! Please go to www.staffordrescuevictoria.org.au where you’ll find the Adoption Application. Please make sure you read all the information on the Adoption page, as well as the links at the bottom.
Medical notes
Will have leg pinned for fractures. Explained in profile.
Adoption details
If you think you can offer me a forever home please go to
http://www.staffordrescuevictoria.org.au/index.php/adoption-forms-6
and fill out the Adoption Request Form. You will receive an email acknowledgement within 3 days. If you do not receive any further contact after this please do not be discouraged. It just means that a suitable application was received before yours. We encourage you to contact Jan at jan.hutton@optusnet.com.au every week to show you are still interested in adopting. As we will already have your form on file it will fast track the process when a suitable dog does become available.
Adopt one of our dogs and we are there for you for the rest of the dog's life. If you find you and the dog are not suited it is a condition of sale that the dog comes back to Stafford Rescue.
