About Pip
Hey hey everybody my name is Pip! I am a young, fun guy with my whole life ahead of me, and I am looking for someone to spend that life with.
I was abandoned at a rural pound and left to die. OTC put their hand up to save me and I made the long trip up to Toowoomba with some other dogs that were saved. It was obvious that I was a great guy as I got a long with all the other dogs on the trip and had a smile on my face the whole time.
No one knows exactly why I ended up at the pound but I sure didn't deserve to be there.
I am only young so I still have so much to learn, but boy do I know some cool tricks already! I can sit, wait for my food and shake. I also play fetch and just love to chase balls. I am gentle with other dogs when I play and pay attention when the other dogs have had enough of me. I currently live with two little dogs and they love my company because of how cool I am.
I also live with cats and they don't phase me at all. Since being in care I am responding well to training and I am already much better behaved.
I sleep inside and spend my days outside. I am really good when I sleep inside and don't make a peep all night.
I have the friendliest face and a personality to match. People often look passed brindle dogs but you would be silly to pass me up. I tick all the boxes. Gentle, sweet, loving, fun. I am a great guy and I know the perfect family is just around the corner.
Anyway, I am off to play with my foster brother now. Peace out!
Adoption details
Before applying, please consider and finalise the following: real estate approval, fence repair if needed, outside shelter areas and look into the dog's breed dietary requirements eg large breed vs medium breed.
Once you are ready to adopt, please complete the OTC Adoption Application questionnaire below. This is not a contract or agreement of any kind, just an expression of interest in the animal. We will not authorise meets unless this has been completed and only approved applications may meet the dogs. Once you are approved and have submitted all relevant information, we will organise for you to meet the dog at your home, or in a public place. If you have other animals they must be at the meet.
If at the meet, you and the dog get along- you have the option of either taking the dog on the spot (in exchange for the full adoption fee paid upfront, and contract signed)- or placing the dog on hold for up to 2 days without any holding fee applicable. When adoption begins you will be provided with 7 days' worth of food for the dog, as well as what brand and type of food it is, so that you may change their diet carefully and slowly, or purchase more, if needed.
*PLEASE NOTE we do not hold dogs for 3 days or longer, without a non-refundable holding deposit of $100. If you are unwilling to put a deposit on the dog, we will continue to advertise and speak with other potential adopters and so you may miss out. We have had to make the deposit non refundable to avoid time-wasters, especially when it comes to puppies under 5 months of age. The $100 holding deposit is then subtracted from the outstanding adoption fee, which is to be paid at collection of the dog. Eg if full adoption fee is $450, and you pay a $100 holding fee so we can hold the dog for a week- the day you collect the dog you will sign and adoption contract, and pay the remaining $350 fee of which $50 is non-refundable.
During the trial period, should the pet become ill, you must present it to the OTC-approved vet clinic in your area and OTC will cover any treatment needed.
On commencement of the trial period, OTC will send you a copy of your signed contract, the vaccination cards, desexing certificate and microchip number implant details.
So. Ready to roll? Then fill out the attached short form, and we will be in contact to successful applicants asap. Feel free to follow us up via Facebook page inbox.
