About Lucy ~ Jack Russell X (on trial 15/12/2017)
Hi, I'm Lucy, a 3 year old small Jack Russell Terrier. I really belong in a lolly shop as I'm the sweetest thing you will ever meet.
I love walking on a lead, chasing a ball and if you don't want to throw it for me. I'll drop it at your feet over and over and over again. If that doesn't work I'll try to drop it in your lap so that it's closer to your hands.
I must be included as part of your family as I have a lot of love to give.
I love to snuggle but am very timid and can sometimes wee a little because I'm not very confident. The more love and rewards I am given the more confident I will become.
Although I am a lap dog, I also have a lot of energy and would prefer and active life with you.
I sleep inside at the moment and hold off going to the toilet until the morning. I can sometimes even sneak onto your bed to lay beside you. You won't even know I'm there. I use a doggy door and can come inside as I please. I bounce a few feet off the ground because I'm happy to see you.
I cohabitate with other calm dogs but boisterous dogs scare me. I'd much prefer human companionship so I may not play with your dog the way you would like me to.
I love, love, love children and licking faces is my favorite thing to do! I bark at cats and I've not met any pocket pets so I'm not sure what I would do.
As with all my furry companions, I need an enclosed yard with an appropriate fence.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
