Hi! I’m Rubie. I looooove cuddles - and attention. Your attention will be my best training reward - it works even better than food to motivate me :) I’ve almost got “sit” mastered. My foster carers say I have a good temperament. They think I’d be great as a second dog so I’ve got someone to play with, or else as a family dog where I’ll get lots of a-a-a- you guessed it - attention!

I’m talkative but not barky. I have lots of energy so I reckon two walks or runs a day will help me stay relaxed and well behaved. My carers are teaching me that it’s not OK to be “mouthy” with people. They give me lots of chew toys and distract me with them if I start to chew something I shouldn’t.

Like all puppies, I require training, lots of socializing with other dogs/animals and strict boundaries all to help me become the best family member that I can be. These things are especially important for a pup like me because I’m going to be quite a big girl :) SAFE thinks I might be medium-large in size when fully grown.

A few hours in a plane is absolutely worth it for remotely located animals like me - it means we have the opportunity to be adopted. Flights to Perth for dogs are capped at $150 thanks to QANTAS, and I can fly elsewhere in Australia too.
