About Mia ~ Maltese X (On trial 30/11/2017)
Hi all! First, I’d like to introduce myself. My name is Mia and I am 8 years old. I am looking for my forever home and family, let me tell you more about me!
If you were to ask my foster Nan and Mum, they would describe me as a beautiful quiet girl who is gentle in nature. I’m a Maltese cross, about 5kg, white and fluffy small build but have a set of lonely long legs. I live inside and my new family would need to make space for me to continue being an inside girl.
I love to spend my day just relaxing. I enjoy to doggy nap in my own bed but I equally enjoy cuddling up with you. I love to snuggle up with you on the lounge and watch TV (your choice of show, I don’t mind what we watch), I think that this would be my most favourite time of day.
When I first joined my foster carer’s home, I was timid, shy and frightened. I was a bit nervous about my new home and environment, I didn’t know what to expect or what my new journey was going to bring. My foster Nan and Mum explained they were my stepping stone. The stepping stone to my forever home, they made a promise to me that they would love and care for me to help find my forever home. I just need to ask that my new family would give the time and patience to help me gain their trust and confidence, to blossom and grow as I have here in my foster home. My foster Nan and Mum gave me lots of patience so I could learn more about them and they could learn more about me. With a few weeks, I developed their trust and from there, they say I blossomed and ‘come out of shell’. I found myself comfortable and found more self-confidence to be myself from then on.
Although I’m an older girl, I still enjoy a game of fetch and happy to play a game with you but if you’re not up for playtime when I am, I also can amuse myself with plenty of toys if you’re busy. I enjoy being out in the fresh air and sunlight, going for walks to see what’s going on in the neighbourhood where I live. If you’re looking for a good little fur friend who enjoys a car trip and sits patiently in her seat belt, I’m your girl!
I’m toilet trained, I give my foster Nan and Mum a little signal when I need to go, they just let me outside to the backyard and I go to do my own business. My fluffy white coat does need a bit of help from my new family to maintain, I need a regular brush to keep me tangle and knot free. I will also need the occasional tidy and trim to keep me looking as pretty as I can.
I really do enjoy the company of other people (possibly other fur friends) and would love a family where there is people home for a good part of each day. When I’m not napping, I enjoy following you around and to see what kind of weird and wonderful things you’re up too.
My foster family have introduced me to very young (human) little people and I don’t mind, I’ll sit with them or go do my own thing. My foster home has another two fur friends, I would suit being an only dog however may be interested in seeking a playmate in my new home if we enjoy each other’s company. I have not experienced or been around with cats so I’m not sure how I feel about them yet but I currently live with birds and I’m not bothered by them.
Are you a little family or big family looking for a fluffy family member? I’m just looking for my forever home, do you think I am the perfect new addition to your family and home. Do you think I could be your new friend and loving companion? I’m eagerly excited and patiently waiting for that letter to finally find my forever home. I would love to find my forever home soon. Love, Mia
