About Tippy
No more pig hunting for Tippy, who was found only 10ks south of the tip of Cape York, sitting by a rubbish tip waiting for his owner to come back and pick him up. He was wearing a pigging vest and was injured and emaciated. But he had a guardian angel who brought him to Cairns and never gave up looking for help for him. Tippy's open wound has healed and he is walking with less pain now, but we still have a long way to go to make him well. Poor boy has heart worm, which we are treating and expect it to be successful. Unfortunately, the infestation is severe enough to warrant the full treatment, which will go for many months. The costs will be covered by donations and ARCAT will cover any shortfall. So what we'd like for Tippy is a new forever home close by where we can monitor his recovery. A foster to adopt program is possible but of course, it would be much better for Tippy if he could finally retire somewhere where he can stay. He is just the perfect dog. Has the sweetest nature and just so compliant and loving.
