About Sir Scruffington McGhee (Scruffy)
Scruffy came with his name and is far from ‘scruffy’. His coat looks as if it has been styled by a world class groomer. Silken tendrils adorn the fringes of his ears and he has the most magnificent, flowing tail that he holds up like a flag in advertisement of his nobility. To pat this little boy is a joy - I’ve never felt anything so soft. To top it off, he appears to be quite low shedding.
These photos do not do him justice. Speckled forelegs, chestnut agouti saddle and a bunny grey bib, the beauty of this boy’s coat is only surpassed by the depth of his intelligent brown eyes.
Scruffy is one smart boy. When he looks at you, he really looks at you. He tries to work out what it is that you want from him and how he can best achieve it. His person is so important to him.
At the park, he’ll never be far from you and certainly would never consider running away. He just wants to be with you and share with you his experiences.
Sir Scruffington McGhee is a very young and active fellow who would make a great hiking partner, agility champion, flyball contender, obedience master ... you name it. The potential of this dog is endless.
Although slightly lacking in the socialisation department as a result of a sheltered life, in just one week Scruffy has adjusted perfectly to living, playing and sleeping with seven other dogs of differing ages and temperaments. He can be a bit tentative at the dog park with overly rambunctious dogs, and may keep his distance but is learning the meet and greet of respectful dogs very quickly.
Likewise, when Scuffy came he was timid around strangers. He is coming around beautifully and will now sit for pets from them regularly.
While he has a few things to learn, he learns super fast and at just two years of age he has plenty of time for development.
Scruffy would do best with another playful dog for company and is not suitable for a home with young children.
If you are a dedicated, experienced dog owner who considers your dogs to be a major part of your life, then you will be deserving of such a special companion and I encourage you to apply.
Medical notes
Scruffy is very fit and healthy, has a lovely gait and is well proportioned. He has no medical issues.
Adoption details
Please email me a little bit about yourself and all residing people, family members and animals in your house. I would like to hear about your household routines with regards to work/home time and household routines and rules for your dogs. I do not operate on a first-in-best-dressed basis. Instead my aim is to find the most suitable forever home for the animals in my care.
The selection process may take a few weeks, so please be patient and rest assured that your application has been received and considered.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
